Beauty can Suck.
As an ugly person (or the politically correct phrase, "not asthetically pleasing"), I thought that if I was beautiful, that I would be more likely to find a partner. The thing is, it seems, is that beautiful people have it hard too!

littlemsmortis on yahoo and she opened up her cam. OMG!! The pictures on her LJ do NOT do her justice. She looks like a cross between Catherine Deneuve and Jacqueline Bisset. You would think that guys would drop out of the woodwork to go out with her but she stated otherwise. I started thinking about why she doesnt have men lining up around the block (this is also the case, I believe, for my friend brutalmix) As a transsexual, I have a unique perspective on this. I was brought up as a male, so I was socialized as one. Two things drive most men are ego and "the visual." The visual is what stimulates a male into action. Once he is stimulated, he makes a judgment on wether or not the "visual" is attainable. If the woman he is viewing is less than perfect, in his thinking..she is more attainable. If she is too beautiful, he will probably think she is "out of my range." So...to brutalmix and littlemsmortis I say.....UGLY YOURSELF UP A LITTLE BIT. Typically, the only men that will hit on beautiful women, are ones that are very direct, self cetered, and obnoxious. So if you want a good man...GO UGLY! ;)
